CLASSES IN OUR COMMUNITY

We have two very unique venues for hire – The Carnegie Parish Hall and Ty Illtud both of which are located in Church Village. Find out more about the classes currently running in each venue below.

CARNEGIE PARISH HALL

Currently, the Hall is used by a number of Brownies and Guides Groups, Yoga classes are run on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. On a Thursday afternoon between the hours of 12 noon – 4 p.m. the hall is used by a longstanding Art Group and on a Thursday evening, the hall is hired by a group of ladies that wish to dance the blues away after a hard day’s work. The hall is also hired out some evenings during the week for various WI meetings.

A Monday morning is used by a quilting group and the evening is used by a Yoga class. On a Tuesday the venue is booked to another Yoga class. Every Wednesday, the main hall is hired by a group that support people who have been affected by a stroke and the group encourages its members to relax and meet with likeminded people. The venue is occupied on a Thursday by a new Parent and Toddler music group and in the evening by a Rangers group. Cancer Research also meet on a weekly basis where people chat over a cuppa and a cake. Once a month the hall us let to U3A where individuals discuss the latest book that they have read.

Both venues have free Wi-Fi, kitchen facilities, disabled toilets and access to the Community Council’s car parks. The above are a few examples of the range of groups that meet and enjoy the various activities that are on offer. The venues are also let for celebrations such as children’s birthday parties.
